Pandora’s Pops Taking 3D Modeling to the Next Level
Jena Chambers, after reaching the summit of taste of her delicious lollipops has now discovered a new way to add a personality to her tasty treats using 3D printing techniques. The very objective to bringing Pandora’s Pops to existence in the year 2012 was to create and offer treats that are as nourishing as they are delicious. Despite of her presence in offering these tasty & nourishing treats for few years she has paired up with 3D designer Lana Briscella to create 3D printed molds for her specialty flavors.
During an interview with local magazine Jena talks about her purpose and vision for Pandora’s pops, she says “Pandora’s pops are delicious holistic lollipops, elevating one’s brand and body with intentional super foods, herbs and essential oils. Some of the candies are sugar-free & others are sweetened with organic cane sugar; the range also include some of the innovative Alchemist turmeric, lavender & chamomile calming pops, Happy genius pops and many more.
Talking about the inspiring 3D designs and pops models she add that Pandora’s pops have always been forward thinking with ingredients and purposes & recently we have started breaking into innovative shapes that matches the purpose of each lollipop like – Taste the Rainbow shape which came out for Gay Pride was the first of many that will be 3D designed. Our Burning Man lollipops intended for playa gifting and extending the celebration beyond Black Rock City are the second.
Talking about 3D modeling and printing Jena adds in her interview the most critical part of offering the most relevant shape as per the purpose is to understand the purpose creatively and as per the utility and come up with the most innovative and appealing 3D design which is not only aesthetic but also offers ease of preparing negative silicone molds to precisely reproduce the most accurate shape as per the design. 3D artist and designers should be capable enough to precisely understand the entire candy making process and as fillers should offer a breathing space for the mold maker and someone who is reproducing candies from those molds. 3D modeling and printing got a long & promising way to go for innovative product offerings in future.
